More than 600 Afghans crammed into a US military plane to flee the country

One photo shows more than 600 Afghan women, men, children and the elderly huddled inside a huge US military plane, during the dramatic evacuation of people hours after Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, fell into the hands of the soldiers on Sunday. Taliban.

It is not the first time that the Boeing C-17, a transport plane of the US Air Force has been used for such massive evacuations.

In 2013, a C-17 flew with about 670 occupants from the eastern Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan. In its usual configuration, a C-17 carries a hundred soldiers with all their military equipment.
