The US Department of Defense acknowledged that the Houthi rebels from the Houthi movement downed an MQ-9 Reaper attack drone off the coast of Yemen. A Pentagon official confirmed that the Houthis shot down a US military MQ-9 Reaper drone near the coast of Yemen. He added that the US command was investigating the loss of the aircraft, which, according to official reports, was valued at around 30 million dollars.

On Wednesday, the Houthi rebels from the Ansar Allah Movement claimed that their anti-aircraft defense had shot down a US drone in the territorial waters of Yemen.

A spokesman for the Yemeni rebels clarified that the US drone was conducting hostile activity in the area as part of military support for Israel. He emphasized that these actions would not be an obstacle to providing military assistance to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip against Israeli aggression.

In support of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, the Houthis announced earlier that they had launched rockets at targets in Israel.
